By the time Marvel U.K. was publishing the comic, the toy line was just rebranded G.I.Joe toys so Wild Weasel was Wild Wealsel, all the :baron: as :cobracommander: & :enemy: :sas: :zforce: :qforce: :space: story & toy line was forgotten or ignored by Marvel & Hasbro, but not by most of the fans on this site.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

AFAIK the only time a character was renamed by Marvel UK was when Footloose joined in the US strips in the Tomax/Xamot story where he was renamed 'Longslide' because Footloose had previously appeared so much.

Not a problem, there have been several changes to the Colouring Project strips, Gung-Ho, Jammer and Quarrel were originally portrayed as Gaucho, Stalker and Scarlett. The same was done to The Great Cobra Robbery and Assassin!

The biggest change in the Marvel UK reprints is the use of the name Action Force instead of GI Joe. There were many word balloons where it wasn't possible to fit in the full phrase so A.F. was used instead, which didn't scan at all! The other thing was the asterisk marks which relate to previous events, as in * see issue 15 for details, oftimes these were missed.

The same thing happened regularly in Marvel UK Transformers weekly, references bore no relation to the cover numbers.

Also pages of story were removed that referenced anything not covered in Action Force and Transformers as I found out when I bought volumes 1-5 of the Marvel graphic novels and some of those gaps in speech bubbles would reference those events not just the removal of GI Joe
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

One damn minute, Admiral
