I can't tell you how chuffed I am with my Cobra Moray Hydrofoil, it's blood red, mean as and it's a boat. Soon as it's properly customised I'll post some links. I always thought Mutons and the Escape Armour were good Space Shadows.at least they had the Roboskull to fight not like Q Force who only had varucca (Now that's a tough word to spell) to battle.

I've just bought a massive joblot of vintage AM stuff, I'm hoping to sort through it this weekend, I'm pretty sure theres no dog and knowing how rare it is I would imagine the high Altitude oxygen set would not be there either once I have gone through it all i'll email you the spares I have.
Hey steve,
any chance of having an area on the forum for action man, I could put pics up for others to see the full size counterparts to AF. Apart from the obvious crossovers, it would be nice to talk to over people who collect both
Its amazing that for a toy that sold 3 million pieces that there is no community whatsoever on the net for AM, just a collection of a few poor websites that are never updated and forums that have sidelined Action man in favour of new Dragon releases.
Action Man.
Probably could make room for it, so long as everyone promises not to talk about those awful modern travesties that are passed off as Action Man.
It's good to be back
Action Force STILL Needs You!

I'll second that, extreme rollerskater, my arse!steve wrote:Probably could make room for it, so long as everyone promises not to talk about those awful modern travesties that are passed off as Action Man.
The modern 12" dolls should be banned too, something not quite right about buying a Hitler doll.
But between action man and Action Force there is a ton to cover, I might even convert some of you guys over to AFs bigger brothers, although they are not as healthy for the old bank balance as Action Force!

I'm trying to complete the ceremonial range, the Lifeguard riding the horse is very cool.plastik wrote:I'll second that, extreme rollerskater, my arse!steve wrote:Probably could make room for it, so long as everyone promises not to talk about those awful modern travesties that are passed off as Action Man.

There will be loads of simularities between both lines because Action Force were released the same time as Palitoy to keep up with current trends and a whole new generation of boys who wanted Bionic man and star wars instead , thats when the range seemed to shift away from world war II uniforms and more towards SAS, Space Rangers and Special Team (which most of all were responisble for the look of Action Force).
Of those traditional outfits that were released for Action Force all were dropped for the second wave of Action Force that could not be updated to modern warfare.
As they served no purpose with the vehicles designed for wave 1 (bar maybe the commado and the deep sea diver) Maybe they were only ever designed to be a link to drive fans of Action Man to Action Force.
If any of you guys do want to collect Action Man as well, Space rangers and the special teams are the cheapest action man to buy out of its whole range. Most collectors only want the early stuff, which leaves loads of bargains to be had on this stuff. Some of the Special Teams OUtfits are the rarest of the whole range too as I guess sales were really down by the time this came out, but even so the rarest outfit can still be picked up for ?60 mint boxed on ebay, compared to say a mint cricketeer (not as rare) which I've seen fetch up to ?2500! Each to their own but I would not buy a cricketeer for ?2.50, not really one for the battlefield.
