Wow, that figure in the last picture, almost could be real

Seriously, what a nostalgia fest. Thanks for sharing.

1982 + 1983 Action Man was to blame for me not getting a bigger AF collection.

Looking at this I had the whole SAS collection (including the Chopper), that para really did work, I once attached one to a rotary clothes line, spun it round and watch him fly off and land safely :P

Also had the Space Ranger Captain (non talking sadly), a couple of the Ranger outfits, as well as Captain Zargon, now he could be a fun custom.

But comparing it the AF range I can spot the following cross overs:
SAS Trooper
SAS Beach Head Attack -
SAS Underwater Attack
SAS Parachute Attack
SAS Chopper Pilot
Parachute Regt
Deep Sea Diver
Frogman
Mountain & Arctic (to white AF9 figure)
Special Team arctic and desert outfits (even down to the fold up ladder)
Green Outfit Helicopter Pilot

The Space rangers are also very similar in concept to Space force, aside from colour changes, even down to the Commando having a plug in gun.

I suppose a good question would be which figure/vehicle/accessory from this range would you have liked to seen reproduced for AF?

For me it would have be the classic Action Man. Might be fun to build him, shame none of the Action Force figures came with green DPM trousers, I suppose the closest we could get to make one of those would be black DPM legs from the Z Force Sapper, with a repainted beret head. Not sure which body to use though.
It's good to be back

Steve...classic AM soldier figure is surely THE image everyone knows from AM range, so a great choice for AF figure. how do you make him?

BODY..............MAIL AWAY COMMANDER
ARMS .............Z FORCE SAPPER
LEGS ............. COMMANDER (repaint or leave either would do)
HEAD...............Z FORCE CAPTAIN

Repaint the hands and beret give him SKIPS SLR and there he is. i'm working on him already. then put the commanders head and arms on a SHADOWS body repaint and you've got the german staff officer. like you my SAS PARA was launched from many high places only to land safely ...COOL.

As the token Action Man collector, as last a subject I really know something about!

The figure I would of most liked to have seen in AF was the Arika Korp figure, an enemy for the Desert Rat.

I know I've bored everyone before with this bit I would of liked to have seen the Landrover, Spartan Personel carrier and the capture coptor.

And what may have been nice would of been the Action Man space Pirates in League with the red Shadows, it would of given Space force something to do

Don't worry no offence taken, makes it cheaper to collect them!

I'm a long term sci-fi fan outside of AF, and thats probably I always liked Space Force best.

I agree though, at least they did have a cool enemy, unlike poor old Q force.

Heh! Plastik, I collect Action Man, too! I'm looking for some Action Man stuff, in fact - do you have any for trade?

I'm looking for Brutus with collar and leash, Mountaineer oxygen set, Mountaineer yellow rope (first version - as much as you can spare :-), black karate belt, and Victoria Cross...

Are you looking for anything?

Aire
