i had that as a kid and now with a few other figures too, there is a bit of a point in between it being lopsided either side and its a balancey / wedgey act to get it to sit right. gently moving it more and more and stopping before it flips to the other lopside.

Which Airborne? I'm lost here, as I thought that Airborne has a helmet, not a hat. Did I miss something that was only in Europe again?

If we are talking about the same figure, that has goggles molded on his helmet. Then I know how you can fix the problem.

You need a figure with a little bigger head than the figure you want the helmet to fit on better. Also need to boil some water, doesn't have to be boiling as you do this, but needs to be hot. Last a cup of cold water, ice water works the best.

Apply helmet to the bigger head, place in water for a little bit. Then place in cold water right after. The helmet should be reformed to be a little larger. If you don't like the fit, you can always try again, or use Airborne's head. Sometimes you can move the helmet where you like it before placing in cold water, but be careful not to burn yourself with the hot water.

This works for any of the soft type plastic and is very effective on newer rubbery type plastics.

Hope that helps, if we are talking about the same Airborne.

i was trying to avoid any possibility of innuendo by not referring to 'helmet'.

I guess that's the reason I got my :airborne: already without his helmet. I gave him a reserve Hawk's one instead. And that was when I was a child, way before second-hand stuff.

Best watch sticking your helmet in boiling water it might smart a wee bit............
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
