The Black Major's briefing

Post by Red Baron »

Here's another couple of simple customs receiving a pre-flight briefing, at one of Ironblood's remote airstrips, by The Black Major. Black Hawk will be piloting Black Falcon, Ironblood's most elite paratrooper, on a nightdrop for recon of an SAS forward base.

Sorry if they're too simple for you, but I hope you like them.

I like these, fit in well with series 2 wave 1. The simplicity is a strength not a weakness. I know you haven't said that these are the Major's men, but for me the idea that Black Major had his own select troops here and there is a good one, with big potential for spin-off storylines (and friction with the Baron/Cobra Commander). A bit of his old ambition coming through.

Thanks for the positive comments. I agree, The Black Major would have had his own team of crack troops. I'll keep going with more simple customs.

Simplicity is best mate. Love them! How about though painting the Pilots visor (maybe red or silver?) and I think the other guys helmet would look good black. Although they are your customs so if you are happy tell me to bugger off! :-)

I agree the visor colour certainly would be better changed. Not yet been brave enough to gather my paints together and go for it - just been dabling really - need to do a bit of paint testing perhaps before diving in on the figures.

Good stuff, as the others have already said, it's the simple ones like this that often work the best..also very in-keeping with the Palitoy design ethos, nicely done! :-)

The pilot's visor would look nice in red, me thinks.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Great customs and good idea Games Workshop paints are good on figures I recommend blood red on the visor and on the head mask of the other one and Chaos Black on his helmet.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

One damn minute, Admiral

Cool figures. I have a pair of custom Black Shadows which are the Majors front line shock troops. Red and black make for great shadow figures.
