Has anyone overhere got some more information on the Australian releases of Action Force? I could only find a littlebit of info on Yojoe, but there must be more right? Here's what I found:

Actually, I'd like info. on an Action Man website also. The one I go to doesn't have too much info. beyond this year. I'm curious about this figure's "history". The only thing I know is that the original 12' action fig. resembled the original G.I. Joe fig. for a while in the 60s. Now, he's completely different with his own history. He then gained some popularity here in the U.S. when he had a Sat. animated T.V. show for 2 seasons here at the beginning of the 2000 - 2002 season. His "real name" was revealed to be "Alex Mann".
I'd love to fill in the 40 year gap!

actually, I wasn't referring to the "new" Action Man, but to the same GI Joe figures that were also released in the uk in the mid-eighties. In the UK they created the name "Action Force" to distinguish the new line from the original 12" Action Man line, while in Australia they used the old Action Man logo to promote the new smaller figures.
Why did they do that? Was Toltoys a part of Palitoy? Did they also release the original AF line overseas, or did they only release original GI Joe items with different packeging?
