First Blood Chapter 1

My Version of The Events that passed between Black Major and The original Action Force strip that appeared in Battle .. I'm more familiar with IPC'S Version of Action Force(and more fond of it) than Marvels so it takes place in that universe.. although popular GI Joe characters do appear in story(Storm Shadow ,The Baroness and eventually The October Guard ) it's within the context of the original Battle Action Force stories and not Disney's * cough I mean Marvels vision. you can read it at deviant art just click on my signature link ..not sure I'll draw it now(maybe another artist might want to give it a go?) ..I'm so busy ..Maybe one day ..and perhaps another day If I write chapter 2 I'll post link here too

Action Force-First Blood- Script and Art John O'Hagan

Frame 1:
The Floors of Wall Street, shareholders are either waiting or rushing around like nervous insects at a giant train station
News of the latest share prices are about to appear on the multiple screens

Lettering:
1982 Wall sTreet New York City.

Frame 2:

A young man in a wine coloured suit looks down kind of sad looking two older yuppy types approach him one a larger build man
balding with a moustache the other a geeky looking fellow with wirey afroesque hair and bad glasses .The two resemble kind of like a 1980s version of Laurel and Hardy.

Large Yuppy:"Whats up son you buy shares in betamax?"

Frame: 3: Close Up of Young man manic look on his face teeth gritted eyes wide open the guy looks certified in the background the two older men continue there routine none the wiser to how really troubled this guy is

Geeky Yuppy:"Word of advise kid LaserTronix Japanese company thats where the money is right now"

Frame 4:

The Wine suited yuppy has unbuttoned his suit jacket around his waist is an explosive belt and in his hand a remote device he utters one word
The two other stockbrokers are thrown back by the unpreditable movement from the the younger man

Young Yuppy:"Blood!"


Large Yuppy:"Maybe he's had too much coffee Brad lets get outta here"


Frame 5: A Huge Explosion rips through The New York Stock Exchange naturally the young man , and the two guys who attempted to talk to him are obliterated by the blast

Frame:6:

A Japanese News Reader(A Woman) is reading the headlines of that days top story

Newsreader: Terrorist Attack on Wall Street kills 35 No organisation has so far caimed responsibility..

Frame:7:
Inside a limo we see the bottom half profile of a mans chin with moustache and beard watching the news in the front we see a red capped driver through the bulletproof glass at the steering wheel (this is the Black Major)
The Chin is Baron Ironblood

Baron Ironblood:"And no one ever will Major as you can hear Operation Mantrap is going to plan.

Frame 8:

The top of the Black Majors head up till his nose behind him the glass and obscured but unmasked Baron.ironbloods eyes are covered by a pair of sunglasses.

The Black Major:"Has Vulture made contact with The Red Decemberists yet?"

Frame 9:
Exterior shot through the streets of Tokyo The Red Limo drives past the locals , neon signs light up the busy city .. On the car is the Barons Trademark Red Shadow symbol on the registration plates the unusual lettering that can be found on shadowtraks and Hyenas

Baron Ironblood :"Very Soon the seeds of confusion will bloom in days"

Frame 10:
Outside the gates of a huge robotics factory with the legend LaserTronics security is tight the guards carry smgs, the limo enters as the barrier goes up a guard salutes as the car passes through .

Baron Ironblood"But business comes first Major our clients are waiting"

Frame 11:
The Baron steps out of the limo in an expensive Trench Coat and sunglasses still obscuring his eyes (is appearence is much like that of the Ascendary Island Story , White hair moustache and beard but he looks more like a businessman as opposed to a meglomaniac tyrant (for now)
The Black Major opens the car door for his master.

Voice(Unseen):"Gotcha!"

Frame 12:
A black and white polaroid held by thumb and finger of an unknown person.The photo is a close up of the moment the photographer said "Gotcha" in the last frame .

Photographer:"This man is your target Storm Shadow!"

Page 3:

Frame 13:
Storm Shadow the masked ninja stares at the photo two more sobrely dressed Japanese men are addressing the assassin(The very same contacts seen in Storm Shadows origin story) they are standing in a back street.

Yasai(Contact 1):"Be warned, this man is highly volatile, he has his own private army at his disposal."
Storm Shadow:"That hasn't stopped me before"

Frame 14

Kuzi:(The Second contact interjects) aerial shot of the three men talking in the back alley

Kuzi:"This is different to a Triad hit.Even Our Yakuza bosses fear this man."

Yasai:"The Outlander is making his presence felt throughout Japanese underworld he must be eliminated"

Frame 15:
Kuzi hands Storm Shadow a suitcase within its contents are banknotes and details of The Barons location

Kuzi :Half now and half when the job is done as we agreed

Storm Shadow:"Hai"

Frame 16:
The Ninja scrambles up a wall with suitcase in hand Yasai calls after him.

Yasai:"You will find all relevant information within the suitcase good luck Storm Shadow san"

Frame 17:
Nice view of Storm Shadow almost leaping off the page into the night (I'll mess around with perspective and panel borders to get this effect) below him we see Yasai and Kuzi chatting

Kuzi:"Luck Ha he won't need it he's the best there is"

Yasai:"Lets hope he gets Danshaku our necks are on the line too"

Frame 18:
Lettering:Paris at Midnight
A small club venue somewhere in Paris afterhours The Ramones storm through a set at breakneck speed at this moment in time they are performing "Commando" everones having a good time either slam dancing or pogoing in the forefront of picture is a young french girl about 17 she is weaing a denim jacket and skirt and a stipey blue and green top not quite as wild as her friends but more fashionable she has wavey aubern hair this is Julie,she nudges her more punk rock boyfriend Ivan who has a mohawk

Julie:"I'm just off to powder my nose Ivan "

Joey Ramone (on stage at mic):They Do their best ,they what they can.They get them ready for Vietnam"

Frame 19:
Julie in the ladies room about to open cubile door
Joey Ramone (from other room):From Old Hanoi to East Berlin, Commando -Involved Again!"

Julie: "Sacre Bleu!Le Diable!

Red Vulture sitting on toilet seat smoking silencer in hand Julie has fallen to the ground obviously after been shot by The Red Shadow(How I will draw Red Vulture differently to the other Red Shadows will be his the way he goes around in his uniform his shirt buttons are undone to his waist as opposed to right up the top like a normal Red Shadow ..he has a more casual approach to uniform).

Frame 22:
Lasertronics labourities top floor we see the familiar shapes of Baron Ironblood and The Black Major by the window(The Baron now with his Iron Mask over his head They are talking to a white coated Japanese Scientest.

Baron Ironblood:"A profitable ruse I must congratulate you on your latest enterprises.."

Frame 23:

The Baron is in mid speech gesturing with his hands his grandoise scheme the scientest bows politely

Baron Ironblood"Phase 3 of Operation Mantrap relys upon your expertise in technology our playground will be Afghanisthan"

Frame 24: The Scientest close up(for reference for what he looks like check out the final pane of Operation Sealion(This is Red Laser unmasked) but in a white labcoat

Red Laser:"Join me at the basement floor my projects are nearing completion I think you will be pleased Danshaku san.

Frame 25:
Red Laser presses Elevator door The Baron Watches as does the Major with arms folded.

Red Laser:"This way"

Frame 26: The 3 villians stand in Elevator

Frame 27:
The Door shuts above the elevator whatever is Japanese for basement floor is lit up

Frame 28: Storm Shadow clambers through window

Frame 29: He stands by The Elevator where Ironblood Laser and Major have just descended in he sees that it has reached the basement floor.
Storm Shadow:"Hmmm!"

Frame 30:

A Grubby Paris hotel room with awful wallpaper four squatters sit at a table firstly there is Bruno Schneider a mad eyed looking man (much in the Klaus Kinski vein mid length hair green jumper with shoulder and elbow patches he's holding a light machine gun in his hands whilst sitting down a cautious man ,.. the very same Bruno as featured in the Baroness origin story Next to him is his blonde wife Helga also a die hard for the Red December cause , again same Helga as featured in Baroness story but more on that later it is a few monthes before the formation of The Muller-Stromberg Group..standing by the doorway is Henri the only Frenchman a hippy by appearence with headband long hair and John Lennon glasses but none the less a dangerous radical and lying on the couch is Drop Out looking all in the world like someone who has dropped out of the u.s Marines shaved head white t-shirt khaki army tousers and cradeled in his arms a nasty looking M16 Drop Out is fast asleep but more about these characters later.

Helga:"So When am I going to meet this Spaceman Bruno?

Bruno:"Any time now if he's as good as they say he is"

Frame 31:

Henri gestures to Bruno at the door

Henri: "Masks you say?"

Bruno "Ja Masks!"

sfx: BUZZZZ!(Doorbell)

Frame 32:

Red Vulture appears at the door much to Henri's surprise he's never seen the likes of a Red Shadow before ,Vulture carrys what seems to be the lifeless body of Julie who he shot earlier.

Red Vulture: "Special Delivery"

Henri:"Far Out!"

Frame 33:
Vulture leaves Julies body to the ground. The Red Decemberists apart from Drop Out(who's still asleep on couch) congregate around the girl Red Vulture addresses them..

Red Vulture: "If I had my way she'd be dead , I've carried out my part of the deal now the address please"

Frame 34:

Bruno hands Vulture a slip of paper gimacing

Bruno :"You should find Goldberg here he has protection Russian Mafia"

Vulture:"We will deal with them"

Frame 35:

Red Vulture points the very same silencer he used on Julie into Brunos face

Red Vulture:"If I find that you have provided me with misinformation Shcneider I shall return and kill you all .

Frame 36:
Red Vulture Walks out of door Bruno stares through door as he leaves..

Red Vulture: "I hope your hostage serves her purpose."

Bruno: " Dankes Herr Vulture"

Frame 37:

The Grubby Flat Julie wakes up from what she thinks is over partying Helga stands over her Henri and Bruno discuss the situation

Henri: "So this is Flaggs daughter?"

Bruno:"Yes this is the Pentagon Pigs kid ,Don't worry Helga we'll have your sister free soon "

Frame 38:

Helga who points a luger at the waking Julie responds to Bruno.

Helga:"A pact with the devil how faustian of you"

Frame 39:

Bruno:"Red Vultures just The Devils Lacky from what I hear his boss is Satan himself"

Frame 40:

The Baron appears on Red Vultures Shadowtrak tv monitor

Baron Ironblood "You've recieved information on Goldbergs location , this is most pleasing news rendezvous with Red Banshee

Red Vulture "Very Good my Lord"


Frame 41:

A lone motorcyclist observes the strange vehcile from afar and it's strange driver underneath a bridge , We cannot see the bikers face (which obscured by a black motorcycle helmet and visor)on board the Shadowtrak is another Red Shadow who acts as rear gunner

Red Vulture "We'll take to covert route Gunner "

Frame 42: The Shadowtrak begins its journey through the night aeril view ..the bike for now remains still


Frame 43:
The Shadowtrak seems to be driving head on straight into a wall

Frame 44:

The Shadowtrak bust right through the wall as if it was made of cheese(a fake wall)

Frame 45:

The Motorcycle roars through the hole made by the Shadowtrak

Frame 46:

The Gunner spots the cyclist and alerts Red Vulture the bike is gaining on them.. the route theShadowtrak is taking is through the Paris Sewers
"
Red Shadow: "Sir We're been followed"

Frame 47:

View from the motorcycles front wheel rear view of Shadowtrak opening fire on the bike but missing just hitting the ground near the wheel

Red Vulture: "Don't just sit there shoot him!"

Frame 48:

View from Gunners postion Motorcycle is gaining and skillfully dodging his barrage

Frame 49:

The Biker throws a shruken star directly at the gun a still controls the bike

Frame 50
The Star hits its target in the neck the Red Shadow flys back from his gun the bike edges closer to the Shadowtrak

Frame 51:

The Biker leaps from bike carrying a crossbow in hope of landing on top of the speeding Shadowtrak

Frame 52:
Landing with cat like agility on the deck of the Shadowtrak the biker aims a crossbow the back of Red Vultures head.

Biker/Quarrel: "I'd pull the break if I were you "

Frame 53:

Vulture although masked shiivers with fear (Red Shadow masks are great for expressions sometimes) the crossbow is visable behind his head.

Red Vulture :"Who Are you what do you want"

Frame 54: Quarrel removes helmet to reveal the blonde haired female operative of Z Force

Quarrel:"The names Quarrel and I'd like some co-operation"

Frame 55:

Baron Ironblood surveys the basement floor of Lasertronix The Black Major is a few steps behind him we see Shadows manning computers a few Shadowtraks parked here and there , The Basement floor resmbles a mini Death Star(or a secret Base that would be featured in a Bond Film with metal bridges escalators the works.

Baron Ironblood:"General Flaggs Daughter is merely a pawn in the game Major he will pay dearly for constructing Action Force"

Frame 56:

Red Laser appears this time in full uniform and masked. He bows to greet his master.Side view of Laser front view of The Baron and Major

Baron Ironblood: "Ahh Laser I believe you have some thing to show me "


Frame 57:

Red Laser gestures to the Baron to follow him

Red Laser:"Hai this way Danshaku"

The Muton Red Lasers Indestructible Robot..This is the very first one For the Baron it is Love at First sight you can see it in The Barons eyes.

Baron Ironblood : "Its almost humanoid Splendid Work Red Laser"

Red Laser:"Well It was your Creation. I just added a few specifications"

Frame 59:

Ironblood Glares at the musclebound android in awe

Baron Ironblood:"We must test it ..Shadows!"

Frame 60:

A Group of red shadows open fire Ak47s and Rocket Launcers blazing

Frame 61:

The Bullets and missles merely deflect off the Robot.

Frame 62:

The Baron at a remote controls of The Muton unleases The Droids power on his own footsoldiers The Muton Throttles one Shadow whilst walloping another .The Shadows are still firing but to no effect

Baron Ironblood: "Muton Destroy!"

Frame 63:

The Muton Stands Truimphant all the Red Shadows that attacked him are lying on the ground dead The Baron is over whelmed with his new toy

Baron Ironblood :"Amazing! we must build an army of these ..We must send this one to .."

Frame 65:

Julie appears strapped to a chair mouth gagged arms tied behind back , she struggles a muzzle of a m16 to her head

Bruno :"Take a long look Flagg..recognise her ? Yes thats your spoilt brat of a daughter"

Frame 66:

close up of Julies face Eyes Wide with fear

Bruno:"Our Demands are simple Release all prisoners connected to The Red December and Red Army Factions Incarcerated in your prisons in Germany and you will see this piglet alive again"

Frame 67:

A Ronald Reagan Masked "Drop Out"holds gun to Julies head whilst a Richard Nixon Masked Bruno is closer to the cam corder as he addresses his audience

Bruno: "We'll be in contact! Freedom Now and Death to the Pigs!

"Richard Nixon" hands Henri a video tape

Bruno :"Ok Henri drop this over to The American Embassey and get back here as soon as you can

Henri: "Oui Bruno,great mask"

Frame 69:
Bruno looks moody Nixon mask now rests on top of head to reveal Brunos face Helga speaks behind him.

Helga:"What now?"

Bruno:"We return to Vienna for phase 2"

Frame 70:

Red Vultures Shadowtrak drives through the streets of Paris pedestrians who catch site of the vehcile are wondering if they've had too much to drink as they venture out of night clubs and bars it is indeed an odd sight to the ordinary passer by. Behind the driver is Quarell her crossbow podding the back of The Red Shadow

Quarrel:"Take it easy Vulture might as well get some sight seeing in"

Frame 71:

Closer view of Quarrel and Vulture

Quarell:"As your going to spend along time inside "

Frame 72:

A Powerful Red Motorcycle with a demonlike rider with a black and red crash helmet wheelies through a Paris side street The Bike has a missle launcer as a side car ..The Rider is Red Banshee and the biker she rides is known as The Red Eliminator

Frame 73:

The Shadowtrak is hit directly by one one of The Eliminators rockets The Vehcile is knocked on its side sending Quarrel flying as it does.

Page 13:

Frame 74:

Quarell knocked to the ground (nearby is her crash helmet she was wearing earlier) by blast see the threat of Red Banshee coming towards her the bike screms ahead Banshee holds a nasty looking Machete in her hands

Red Banshee :"Blood For The Baron"

Frame 75: Quarrel hurls the crash helmet at Red Banshee

Qurrel:"Here Catch!"

Frame 76: Not expecting the helmet come missle flying torwards her Red Banshee is struck off her speeding motorcycle Machete still in hand

Red Banshee:"OOff!"

Frame 77: Not expecting the counter attack Red Banshee is now at Quarrel's mercy she takes aim with her crossbow at the fallen female Red Shadow.. but behind her emerging from the wreckage of the Shadowtrak is Red Vulture sileced pistol in hand.

Quarrel:"I don't Know who you are but.."

Frame 78: Quarrel is shot in the back by Red Vulture

Quarrel:"Ackk!"

Vulture and Banshee loom over the body of Quarell they look like they're argueing by there body language

Red Banshee: "We needed her alive fool we could of got Information"

Frame 79:
Red Vulture explains as Red Banshee begins to remove her helmet

Red Vulture:"There Tranqualisers the same I shot Flaggs kid with you can question her all you like "

Frame 80:
Red Banshee close up she has back spikey medium length hair pale white face and black eye make up Vulture and Quarrel down on the ground ..The Shadowtraks fule tanks about to blow
Red Banshee: "We better go that things about too go up."

Frame 81:
A fair distance away from the exploding Shadowtrak Red Banshee and Vulture (carrying the sleeping Quarrel )move away from the scene they've created.


Red Banshee:"The Police and Fire Brigade will be here soon we must come up with an escape plan.


Frame 83:

Storm Shadow is waiting in the shadows he is overhearing a speech

Baron IronBlood:" Soon My Shadows you will strike in the heart of 3 continents .."

Frame 84:

View of Storm Shadow from feet to head he is watching from ceiling strange perspective on this one below gathered around a podium are a multitude of Red Shadows listening to there master speak .To the Barons Left Red Laser to his right The Black Major

Baron Ironblood: "In Europe I hope to obtain a device that will ensure Victory over all world powers."

Frame 85:

Front View Of Baron giving his mad rant of a speech we see Storm Shadow up on Ceiling above him.

Baron Ironblood:"In Asia I will sow the seeds of confusion,friend will turn upon friend and become foe.

Ironblood continues above him Storm Shadow swiftly descends..halfway in mid air

Baron Ironblood:"And In South America the Bloody Revolution will continue as I hold one of there worthless islands to ransom"

Frame 87: Storm Shadow has disapeared behind him as he silently lands to the ground

Baron Ironblood:"Your Day has come Red Shadows You will shed blood for.."


Frame 88: Storm Shadow Strikes with his Samarui Sword cutting through what would of been The Barons torso which would of sliced him in half ..but no he's cutting through an illusion with his blade as Storm Shadow realises himself

Storm Shadow: "Huh? a hologram!?!

Frame 89:
The Baron appears from behind his crowd of Shadows and points to ninja up on the podium.

Baron Ironblood: "Kill the Assassin!"


Frame 90:
On the podium Storm Shadow desperatly dodges Ak47 fire fom the crowd there is only thing his training has taught him for this situation...


Frame 91:

and that is to fight.. The fearless ninja propels himself into a group of Red Shadows with a powerful headbutt to the chest of one of the Terrorists in the front row sending the the others toppling backwards like bowling pins

Frame 92:
Storm Shadow rise hacking through unfortunate Red Shadows with his blade we see decapitated Red Shadow heads flying across the room The Major is behind him ready to blow him away with an M16

Frame 93:
Storm Shadow back flips behind The Black Major who manages to shoot a Group of Red Shadows instead

Frame 94
The Ninja chops The Major to the neck rendering him unconscious

Frame 95:
A Red Laser Blast blows Storm Shadow flying..The Barons top scientest has come to the rescue.

Frame 96:

Red Laser at The controls of the Laser Exterminator raising his fist to the air in truimph

Red Laser: "Hah I got him!"

Frame 97: Storm Shadow makes good his escape through the hole made by the laser exterminator blast he runs like mad

at the huge hole we see the silouette of the Baron who is fuming

Baron Ironblood: "You Fool Laser he's getting away no thanks to your contraption"

Frame 98:

The Muton begins his pursuit of the Ninja in almost the same postion that Storm Shadow was in the last panel again we see the silouette of The Baron at the big gaping hole this time he has a remote control in his hands

Baron Ironblood:"It will be down to my contaption to hunt this dog down"

Frame 99:
The United Nations Building .New York General Flag is naturally upset.

Major Flagg: "You've seen the tape Gentlemen I'm not quite sure how we're going to handle this we're playing it by ear at the moment"

Frame 100:

Within the skyscraper The General is addressing 4 SAS Force Men Squad Leader Phantom(Harry Exton..the very same Harry Exton of Button Man stories) his second in command Rob Buckingham, codename Eagle, Stakeout (Alfred Jones) and Quickfire (Hans Muller)

Major Flagg:"I understand Quickfire you have plenty of experience dealing with The Red December brigade"

Quickfire: "Ja General I'm a bit of a celebity figure amongst them"

Stakeout:"Lets just say Hans Here aint on there Christmas Card list la?"

Frame 101:

Close up of Major Flagg explaining the mission.

Major Flagg:"In fact we can can trace the terrorists movements as we have an insider providing us with vital information concerning the whereabouts of my daughter"

Frame 102:
Flagg continues to fill in Eagle and his crew they watch as Flagg Briefs them .

Major Flagg:"The Terrorist cell consists of 4 members there objectives are simple the release of Lena Meier one of the terrorists relatives been held in Stammhelm prison"

Frame 103: Side View of Major Flagg.

Major Flagg: "Meier herself is dangerously close to death having gone on hunger strike, The Terrorists hope to exchange my daughter for her safe return"

Frame 104:
Eagle interjects close up of Buckingham.

Eagle:"It Doesn't look like your going to cut a deal if your getting us involved Major"

Frame 105 :Another exterior shot of United Nations Building

Major Flagg:"Thats Right Eagle , we do not negotiate with Terrorists"


Frame 106:

A volkswagen speeds across the autobahn(rear side view) on board are The Red Decemberists in the little cars boot is Major Flaggs daughter Julie Flagg

Bruno:"Not long now Helga just a few hours and we'll be in Vienna"

Frame 107:

Bruno in drivers seat Helga in passenger seat, in the back of the VW sit Henri and Drop Out

Bruno:"There we'll hook up with Anna she'll give us a hand"

Helga:"Can you trust that Stromberg bitch?"

Frame 108:

The Volkswagen front view on the motorway

Bruno: "Anna may be a bitch but she's our bitch and thats all that counts"

Frame 109:
A Tokyo street .A Japanese Policeman shoots at The Muton The bullets just rebound off the androids torso , Storm Shadow keeps running

Frame 110:

The Muton picks up a police car with great ease the onlookers stare in astonishment.

Frame 111:
Storm Shadow dodges the flying automobile (just)which The Muton has hurled at him the car smashs into pieces as it strikes the ground .

Frame 112:

Now its Storm shadows time to strike he has his Samarui sword at hand he takes a swing at Baron Ironbloods robot who makes no gesture to move away from the swinging blade.

Frame 113:
Storm Shadows sword breaks in two his swing powerful and deadly as it is would be lethal if the Muton was a mere human but Human The Muton is not.

Storm Shadow:"Wha?!?"

Frame 114:
The Muton clobbers Storm shadow sending him flying off the the page.

Frame 115:
The Muton stands truimphant over what appears to be the corpse of Storm Shadow
The Muton:" My sensors indicate The Ninjas Heart Beat has ceasesd Master"

Frame 116:

Baron Ironblood holding a radio comlink speaks to his Robot Warrior

Baron Ironblood:"Excellent! return to base "

Frame 117:

Back view of the Muton as he returns to LaserTronix .. Storm Shadow still appears to be dead.Around the robot Japanese cops a sharpshooters let it rip at the muton this doesn't concern the Barons new secret weapon.

Frame 118:
Early Morning the French Countryside a Fire Engine races through a county lane behind the wheel is Red Vulture.
