heres a question

Post by plastik »

when Palitoy first started producing star wars figures they got their wrists slapped for having their logo too big on the packaging, but on Action Force they never had their logo, Action Force must be the only toy product I can ever remember without a company logo on it, this happened to thier ROTJ star wars figures also.

Any ideas or thoughts why?

My guess would be thatthey didn't want to overload on brands, as the Action Man brand was on the packaging, and at the time that was probably one of the strongest brands around.
It's good to be back

I can see that but at the same time they stopped putting logos on star wars figures and they always had logos on them.

I wonder if it had something to do with overseas distribution because Action Man and star wars never used to have other languages on the cards.

I think with star wars, it was meccano's logo that used to feature on the french cards, then with ROTJ Palitoy had produced the tri-logo cards with no Palitoy logo giving the impression there was now just one star wars card produced for all three countries.

I've seen multi languge on Action Force too, so maybe it was a trademark thing
