Chinook

Post by scoobydie »

Still a few bits to finish on this, in the meantime I thought it would be cool to mount an atmosphere light
for the interior, red of course!
Nicked one of the cannon flash lights from a Chap Mei tank and fitted it into the passenger compartment.
Can`t get a really good pic but this should give a general idea 8-)

Which version of the CHinook are you using? I noticed when I disassembled my B&W camo version that there was room for a light and sound box beneath the front rotor. I think the light and sound unti is only available with the green dinosaur edition.

I have the green version and its missing the electronis too.
Must have been a really early version that had it.
It was the same with the Black Hawk, all the components taken out .

I just had a great result at a local car boot sale! Got a chinook like the Barons (the black and grey version) with all working electronics etc for just £1.50 !!! I even dared haggle down from £2.50.

I am very a very happy bunny!

Well Done Flash, always good to haggle...

I saw a nice aircraft @ the boot sale today, it was a big white R.S.P.C.A,or Animal Hospital? twin engine transport & was about the right scale for :AFLogo:, not very detailed but could of been a good base/starting point for a custom.

The cockpit was damaged, but the front & back sort of hinged to allow entry, too small to carry any vehicles, best used as a parachute transport, and no proper udercarrage...damn thinking about it, maybe I sould of picked it up!!

Think it was this one,

That could be used as the base ac for the hercules type custom that we have often discussed.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I could see that working, would be a lot of work but worth it in the end.
