Paul: My current custom 'projects' - feel free to help!

Post by paulitoy »

I've 2 lovely custom projects that I've recently started.

As Star Wars and AF were both made by Palitoy, it seems logical that they 'might' have crossed over [like the Robin Hood and Butch & Sundance, amongst others, toy cross-overs].

Indeed, the AF base was a clear re-work of the Palitoy Death Star.

Through my SW geekdom I digress...

Anyway, I recently bought 2 SW bases with the view to customise into AF.

The first is nearly there. A reworking of the SW Display Stand:

The base will be painted yellow with a red name label:

The background will be this:

I'll take some pics of the second idea in a mo...

My second project is an AF playset.

The base will be painted green with a new background.

Rough idea for the background is something like this:

I've started preparing the background:

If anyone wants to chip in with a few images or photoshopping, it would be nice!

This makes a lot of sense ! why didnt Palitoy repaint and rerelease some of these for AF.

These will look great once finished, are you keeping the snow ? or spraying it mud ?

Yes, it is. And the Z force one.

I was planning on leaving it like that as some of the AF stuff [the figure cardboard headers] have them printed reversed.....

Yes, Baron, my thoughts exactly!

If I had a perfect scan of that first header it would be ideal, but alas, not...

Great idea. As a minor quibble/question will you curve the top corners of your display background?
