Hi, I've been looking at some MOC AF figures (repackaged Hasbro G.I. Joes) and I've noticed interesting accesory variants like a Stalker with Roadblock v1 backpack and a Cobra Officer with a Destro backpack.
Was this randomized additions too figures with few accesories or permanent additions these releases?
thanks

Hmm, not sure about the Stalker, but I'm reasonably certain the Cobra Officer had no backpack. Palitoy variants are legion, unfortunately, the pic was probably submitted as an oddity.

Hi Lurker (and excellent name by the way!)
Two of them from teh photo archive are mine - teh single bubble Cobra Officer and the Stalker (foreign card). As far as I know the Cobra Officer was not normally packed with a backpack, and I agree with the Baron that I think that picture in the archive was submitted as an oddity. Similar has occurred with Red Jackal being packed up with Destro's gear and sold as Destro, and even, if memory serves me correctly (which it rarely does!) Cobra Commander with a backpack?
The Stalker is a different story - as I have only ever seen photos of him MOC WITH the backpack, but it seems whenever he is pictured loose he does not have it.
There was another thread by Paul a while ago that may be of interest, about how Cobra Commander came with two guns.

Re: AF accesory question
Thanks a lot for the info, I remember reading that AF had tons of variants but I've seen a few eBay auctions with carded Stalkers featuring Roadblock packs and wasn't sure if it was a release change (Like Rock N Roll being Ton-Up. Not a physical figure variant but a variant in release from the US)

Re: AF accesory question
instead of releasing overstock accessories with convention figures like Hasbro, Palitoy thought what the heck and just winged them into whatever was handy
