ever been impressed by a figure you thought would be shite?

Title says it all. I always thought this guy was crap till one arrived yesterday,

and now if anything, I really like it.

Anybody else ever experienced this with any characters?

Dave.

25th Scrap Iron for me. I got him with Wild Bill, who I only bought for a few of his accessories anyway, but I rather like the Scrap Iron. It's because his removeable vest hides the "Simon Cowell Pants Look" that put me off these 25th figures so much.

Planned on selling him on, but I think I might just keep him.

Who is the Boxer then Dave? And surely that's not official sanctioned headgear?

He's Big Boa the Cobra Trainer.

Really dig the removable boxing gloves, they look hilarious on a Cobra Trooper. Might have to get a second one just for the extra gloves :-D

Voltar seems to go cheap. Captain Craptastic's legs and crotch are from Big Boa. I always though he was crap. Still do.

One figure I thought looked lame was Sci-fi. Then a mate got one and I discovered even tho he was fluro green he was way cool.

Thanks to Andy1672 for realising a childhood dream ;) Mines nearly restored. Here's the yo joe pic;

Fluro green? What were they thinking? Flash is cooler tho.

I was pleasantly surprised by Raptor..& I'm starting to like a lot of the Battle corp's nice figures ruined by neon colours.

The idea was Rocky was going to be released as a Joe to spar with Big Boa but the idea was scrapped but by then Big Boa had been okayed and released.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

One damn minute, Admiral

Lost the tread Dave, but here his is with updated neckerchief. I think he looks a little like Don Knots. Can't find the thread with the bio, but I'll update it all soon, when his pink cape arrives.
