Action Man Day, 26th october

Post by plastik »

First off let me just say I do not have anything to do with this fair so please don't think its a piece of self promotion.

Anyway its at Wolsey Hall, Windmill lane. Cheshunt about 5 mins from jct 25 on the M25.

I've been going for a few years now and although it seems to be getting smaller at every event, its still just about the only place to get Action Man at (usually) cheaper than ebay prices, I've got a few Action Force bargains before as well, but there is not normally a mass of action force there although this time they are advertising it as the place to get Action Force and Gi Joe so maybe there might be a few dedicated stalls.

It might be a good place to meet up and if any of you have some spares to sell or trade bring them along, I think the tables are quite cheap and if you don't have that much to sell some dealers share tables. Because it is smaller there now I don't think it would be a problem booking a table.

And you dealers with those pics of overflowing carded figures, it could be a good place to sell some without the hassle of queing in the the post office receiving dirty stares from pensioners because you have thirty items to post to winning bidders (yeah I've been there too).

We could even try to make the event more Af orientated by emailing AF bidders and sellers on ebay about the event as I suppose the greater the demand the more there will be for sale (hopefully).

I'm after a Scorpian tank and do not fancy paying the ?10 postage for one on ebay so I will be definatly be there, so if anyone else is thinking of going maybe I'll see you there, I'll be wearing the red carnation!

As a bonus the sports centre next door holds a pretty big toy fair on the same day and this is a great place to snap up some bargains and DVD's strangly, there is also a cracking greasy spoon to meet before hand.

Ps I hope I hav'nt bigged this up too much as I say there could be nothing on offer that would interest you but if you can get there without too much hassle it might be a nice place to meet up.

they have a url http://www.showmastersonline.com

and an info line 01908 671138

I've some more info on the event...
prices start from ?22 per table so if you share a table with another dealer it will only be ?11 (maths wiz I am) which isn't bad because I think an early bird ticket is ?10 although this does include entry into the main toy fair.

Normal entrance is ?1 and doors open at 11am although if you get an early bird ticket get there as early as pos to get your moneys worth, It does pay to get a early bird sometimes as I have found that some dealers buy up the bargains and put them on their own table at increased prices so its a race to beat them to it.

They have a big ad on page 38 of model and collectors mart this month which has all the info on although I think everything you need is listed here.

See you there!
I'll be going (as always), I went to the SF show there last weekend, managed to get a couple of loose figures for spares.

The Action Man show varies in terms of quality, but I've got lucky there with some really good deals on Action Force before.
It's good to be back

:cmmdr: Action Force STILL Needs You! :cmmdr:
