SAS Panther

Post by SPEC OPS »

Here is something I 've been working on:

Image

it started life as an Eco-striker in its neon 1992 blue/yellow colour scheme, and many yrs ago was sprayed black to create a night version, but the paint did not stick to the yellow rollbar, and the thing was relegated to the custom junk box. Then after seeing the recent Panther with the yellow rollbars, I had to do this updated version. The gun is just a place holder, it needs something else- any ideas?

That works very well! Nicely done.

Will the SAS Boat Patrol gun fit?

dont have one spare, but the scale is too small, would like to try and replicate twin barrels too.

I think I'd have the same problem with paint and those guns, but what I was looking for was "a box and 2 barrels" - a bulkier and sl longer roof mounted gun.

It looks great, and I think the current gun looks fine, to be honest. The only real distraction is the green behind the lamps, and it might be worth popping them out and painting the concave area silver. But it's a good Panther MkII!

Oh, and the stickers are brilliant, well done!

Really like this, colour scheme works a treat, as Malcolm said, very nice job on the stickers.

thanks for the comments.

the stickers are again customised (again the numbering systen as with my prev customs is an extension of the original), and the side stripe was spose to wrap around, but some error in the printing, rescaled them too short!

the headlamp lenses are molded in translucent green, with the concave area being yellow. I could just paint the lenses silver, but silver paint always ends up in an uneven finish.

here is the rear shot with more of the stickers, (and the original eco-striker water shooting canon). You can also see more of the residual black paint that flaked off (sellotape is great at removing this by the way).
