I found this on You tube whilst looking for the terrahawks titles...I'm hoping I'm not the only person old enough ( ) to remember this wonderfuly eccentric game show ..The Adventure Game , this game was always @ the end of every show & I always wanted to have a go @ this challenge.

No no I also remember that show, and really good fun it was too! Unlike most modern quiz & challenge shows, you actually had to think about the puzzles (stacking scales to get the right weight to open a door sticks in my mind for some reason) and it was presented in a fun and engaging style.

I never, NEVER understood the bit with the alien 'money' though - They never explained it either, just said if the person was right or wrong in how much currency they'd handed over. I was bit young at the time though, so maybe if I saw it now I'd get it (I hope).

Ha Ha..! Glad I'm not alone in remembering this, it was a great show..& thinking back, the Crystal Maze was very similar to the Adventure Game, only with a bigger budget & none of the charming Dr Who type aliens..

I remember it too! BBC 2 at about six thirty if I remember rightly? Around same time as will o the wisp?

Rings a bell... wasn't there something similar called Knightmare? I remember the contestants had this massive horned helmet.

Oh, I used to love Knightmare.

"Side step, left left run" - I'd have just taken the helmet off and been like "what the F*k is that meant to mean!!!!"

Ahhh The Adventure Game, it was like a pre-Crystal Maze.


I liked the Uncle something-or-other who transformed into a potplant and grumbled away whilst the team tried to collect plastic Drakma coins.
