Woolworths sets?

Post by volleydan »

I know that Woolworth's put out several GI Joe 3-packs in their time. I also know that finding these still carded can be quite difficult....which of course makes me want one.

Can anyone share any knowledge of these? For example, how many different sets were there? Did they all have random card art? And most importantly, how much would I expect to pay for one MOC in good shape?

Thanks in advance!
The mere fact that a flamethrower even exists is proof that someone once said to themselves: "You know, I'd like to set that guy over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough".

there's a pic of one on the rarest item thread in collections. I can't recall them ever appearing on ebay uk, small fortune required

The picture in collections is of the Palitoy figures 3-Pack, are you talking about the Hasbro 3-Packs Dan? V3 Snake Eyes, SM Lowlight come to mind? I think I've only ever seen one on ebay!

was that sold in Woolies????

Similar packs for Star Wars figures, but only in Ireland as far as I'm aware?

Woolies did sell packs of Star Wars figures, but these were all in Baggies and bound in a larger bag. I was expecting to see something similar to that?

Are there many of these packs about, or just the known example here on this forum?

Dave.

As far as I'm aware Jonesy they were only available in Ireland, I'll try and find some images for you.

That's the only Action Force one I've seen though.
