Ideas for vintage customs needed!

Post by paulitoy »

I'm not too knowledgeable about the Battle AF comics.

Even though I got them every week as a kid I haven't really looked inside one since, with the exception of Jamar's Volume 1.

I want the more comic-orientated on here to give me some ideas for some more customs that I could get made to swell the ranks.

I was really pleased with the Red Shadow divers and now I want some more.

Got 2 ideas of my own at the mo.

Both simple repaints, one of a diver for an all yellow :qforce: diver and a space commander for a :qforce: yellow trooper fella.

Any others would be great...

Well, if you specifically want comic characters, top of the list has to be Haggis from Operation Claymore, complete with head bandage, also the old guy from Desert Strike, I think it was Flash York or something.

The other one I've been wanting to make up is the Space Shadow from Moondancer, my plan was Shadow head, Kraken body and Muton limbs and then some sort of breathing apparatus, but I couldn't bring myself to cut into a Kraken. Also from Moondancer is the maskless Red Wolf which I'm surprised hasn't been done.

Thanks for those suggestions Baron. I will search them out.

I'm also interested in totally obscure, 'background' characters - like the yellow :qforce: fellas in the first post.

They have no names but they look like they'll fit in perfectly well with what was released.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I would say go with the characters from The great Cobra Robbery, Foxhound, Nightingale, Seagull, and Leapoard

then we did the create a character contest last year and all 5 of those characters will appear in comics very soon ( after Bloodhound is finished) so check the ACTION FORCE Memorial page and click on the clickable names to check out thier data files and file cards!

my favorites are Leapard, Nightingale, Sand Dune, and Wool Cap

I was reading through Tank Hunt, and got me thinking that Steeler needs a tank crew.
You always see the guy in the turret but never the guys he`s giving orders too.

I always plan on doing the Gibli (and especially the one who steals the Harrier jet)
The Mamba men.
And Nightmare (whom I started but never finished)

as mentioned earlier Haggis is on my "to do" list as well.
