Hello from not so sunny Stockport

Post by Wiggy »

Hi,

Thanks for the amazing work you've done here. Action Force was a huge part of my childhood and I remember my copy of Battle Action Force arriving every Thursday morning making me late for school as I had to read it before I left the house!

As with most kids my comic collection (and toy's) were given away when I got older, so being able to read them again has been a joy. Battle Action Force, Action Force and Transformers comics were for me the definitive comics and toys of the 80's. it's tempting to start rebuilding my Action Force collection, just need a lottery win first :)

Blood for the Baron !

Hello Wiggy and welcome :)

Ahh yes those are the memories!

I'd recommend collecting, even if a few loose ones (which shouldn't be too expensive) as sentimentally you'll love them!

Yes indeed. Well said Wiggy. You seem like just the kind of high spirited youngster we want on this forum! :)

Welcome aboard and if you don't want to go large on the collecting front then that's cool. I say get a few well chosen special memory figures or vehicles and enjoy the nostalgia dear boy!! :)

Evening mate, and welcome.

I grew up in Stockport... well, Cheadle Hulme, but near enough!

Hello and welcome from Bonny Scotland
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Thanks for the welcome guys,

@ Hopper I moved to Stockport 4 years ago and have enjoyed many a pint at the fine pubs in Cheadle Hulme.

I am tempted to start collecting those ones I never got first time round. Where I grew up there weren't many decent toy shops, I remember looking for Kiwi for years before I found one. Space Force was the holy grail of toys back then, never got the Triad or the Cosmic Cruiser :(

I watched the documentary on the history of 2000AD the other night and was thinking the whole time "yeah it was cool, but Battle Action Force was far better"
