General Hawk mods

Post by nighthawk »

The 1986 version was my favourite version of General Hawk. Really happy Hasbro put this in the 25th line, but there were some minor things I didn't like about it.

First, I didn't like how the holster fit under the collar. It just didn't look right cause it can go too far in so that the collar looked more like a fur scarf on top of the holster.
Secondly, I didn't like the non functional chest holster.
Lastly, his elbow movement was severely restricted.

Here's the mods I did.

Removed the collar and trimmed some parts off and glued it back in place including glueing the front tips so that the holster cannot get under it too far.

Modified the holster so it is functional.

Fixed his elbows so he can bend 90 degrees now.

This version of Hawk is the one I prefer as well I was just getting into GI Joe when he wore this I didn't get to read the earlier issues until many years later.

Nicely done :)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
