Green QC-stickered cardbacks and boxes
Before the crash - probably just before it - there was a thread in which a former Palitoy employee - or a contact they had on BFTB - was unloading green-stickered cardbacks replete with pics of the items. Or that's a false memory from seeing the stuff on feebay, partly as there was a minty
The green stickers had key data related to product and packaging approval by design and other in-house Palitoy teams. The system seems to have stayed in place after August 1984, signatories obviously change.
There are some photos of relevant items in the archive including a minty mock-up MMS pic.
And one from 85.

Does anyone still have the photos or a list of the items?

I thought the MMS was a Dave Tree find at the British Museum? Man, I would love to own that.
The Sweeper and Prototype picture was from a collector on Yo Joe, anyway that's where I saw it.
I've got a MOC Long Boots Sweeper and MOC Palitoy UK Carded Storm Shadow both with QA label.

Danke schön Herr Buddusky. Yeah, just added in MMS as an example from the BFTB archive, the next pic in the archive sequence is a high res close up of the signatures on the same box.buddusky wrote:I thought the MMS was a Dave Tree find at the British Museum? Man, I would love to own that.

As for the other pics, think they were uploaded here on BFTB by the same collector on Yo Joe and via the same photobucket links in at least one instance.
Any chance of pics of and QA labels when convenient?

Re: Green QC-stickered cardbacks and boxes
I have this!
Not sure where I found it, and I don't own the actual item, just the photo.
You probably already have it, but just in case.
