3 weeks and 1 day!!!

Post by humby248 »

Thats how long its been since my last cigarette guys. Been having all sorts of aches and pains in my back and loosing the odd tooth so with the help of an e lite elctric ciggie I've given up. Must admit I've been scared but barring a chest x ray which the doc said is for my piece of mind I've had a clean bill of health. Never ever touching a ciggie again!

Very well done!

Those e cig's certainly seem to work, one of my work mates switched to them almost a year ago & hasn't touched any of the real things since.

Well done! My wife went from being a chain smoker to the vapour cig (is that the same as the e-cig) she's not gone back in about 4 months! Very good investment!

I quit 14 months ago now, honestly it's a game changer, Not having the cough is fantastic.

Eddies right, it makes a huge difference. Even to things like walking any distance.

Best way to kill that mother is cold turkey, just be stronger than the urge. Been nearly 15 years for me.

The first time I was quit was with Ziaban which is really good. Takes away all the drag sensation so its like smoking nothing. The second time was complete cold Turkey but both times it was alcohol that got me started again. With the e ciggie I have a back up incase I have a few too many beers. Must admit thinking about my own mortallity scared me into stopping.

I've never smoked, so can't share your suffering, but can share the admiration for the will power!

We're getting to that age fellas where we got to start looking after ourselves if we don't already! :-)

Well done.
And well done all of you.

I went cold turkey about 8 years ago, massive hard work but worth it (cold sweats and twitching).
Best thing I ever did.
Occasionally miss it, but very rarely.

This is weird 'cos I've given up actual cold turkey. Got pissed off with having a meat I didn't like every Christmas day, so last year I had a steak. It was great ;)
