Space Force Variants: The fruits of my project
Space Force Variants: The fruits of my project
Space Force – Patroller (2 Types)
Type 1 (Regular)
Type 2 (‘Morris Dancer’ Variant)
The two types are identical in every way, except that the banded highlights on the legs, as well as the hip packs on Type 2 are painted in a dark orange. In Type 1, they are plain (i.e. the same colour as the legs and arms). It is interesting to note that these are ‘Round Hand’ figures – there doesn’t seem to be a corresponding ‘Flat Hand’ version. However, this is something to keep in mind, and we can’t discount the existence of such a figure.
Immediate ID Features: Painted yellow leg highlights and hip packs (Type 2) vs plain (Type 1)

Painted pouches and legs on one figure, painted pouches, legs and arms on the other.
Re: Space Force Variants: The fruits of my project
Nice catch!
I have always wondered why they didn't paint the arms... turns out they did, but seemingly in small quantities.
Ahhhh, bollocks... right, I'll update the spreadsheet and keep my eyes peeled for another

I wonder if this is a proto of sort.. The bubble is different with edging and they're from a former employee. I actually have two.

I think the majority of these Vectis "Employee Auctions" have to be regarded as unreleased and non-canon.

Re: Space Force Variants: The fruits of my project
Very nice, i think these are more likely the very first releases of each figure, and shortly afterwards all the fancy additions were removed in order to cut production costs.. so expect these are very limited production runs, it's not surprising that these are extremely rare to find carded as you woudl expect most carded is from overstock at the end of the line.
Re: Space Force Variants: The fruits of my project
Very nice! Now I need to check mine, but I think most didn't have the arms painted. Is it the harder plastic version, or softer (check the hands!)

From Hopper's detailed comparisons there's no record of painted arms, but yes please check yours too.
Hands.. What am I looking for exactly to identify the different plastics?
