Open the Baggie or keep it sealed?

I have a Gi joe Estrela Backstop Persuader driver with the Blow Torch sculpt body in a sealed Baggie. I would like to release him as I only collect loose Joe figures but it does bother me that I may be devaluing the figure by a fair whack, any ideas or opinions on?

1. Do I do it?
2. How much cash will I be flushing down the pan?
