Love the weapons, I'm just content on using the few originals I have and the new ones from stuff like Corps etc. But these always seem far to big!!

Thank`s Alex :D

I like to have some of the more exotic/expensive weapons for my guys. Well after all a sniper would want a L96 more than anything else ;)

I also love the Heckler Koch weapons so had to make more for them.
After all the M16/M4 family is available in various versions,so why not HKs range?

SA80-AG36 combo, well since first seeing these back in 2003 I intitially made some commissioned 1/6th ones & well why shouldn`t my 1/18th guys have them too :D

The corner guns i must admit are the newest ones after watching a vid clip on them in action. That was great & well for FIBUA a corner gun is a valued piece of kit i`d say.

Just add`s the latest edge to the weapons that ARE made by manufacturers (Palitoy,Hasbro,BBI,XD,MarauderJohns,PTE,etc). I`ve filled the gaps all of these have left void :D

As for the corps weapons, yes i agree they ARE oversized it`s why i used parts to help make accurate scaled versions :d

Again thank`s very much :D

That's a surfeit of weapons indeed.

Can't they just be simple tools for doing one or more jobs effectively?

Otherwise it's sort of US "SF" (laughs) paradox overkill. They never hit cos their original centre of gravity is fkd to sh%t by appendages.

Thoughts, anyone!

Original AF just got on wid da slotting job.

:quick:

PS. They got on wid it even with M60s instead of jimpys (sigh)

HAHAHA Thank`s Quickfire :D
That`s an interesting point of view mate :D

I have plenty of solid dependable WWII weapons too (from my WWII 1/18th collection). I just like some of these modern weapons & as No one is making them, well why not do it yourself :D

Partially a Customizing exersise & partially for wanting those in my 1/18th armoury.

After all Sniper rifle wise why wouldn`t you want either a Heckler Kock or a IA L96. Both of these are top of the field for sniping. The L96 moreso for being bolt action still :D

As for the other weapons the British MoD now use the Mp7 so why not some within AFs ranks. The SA80 UGL is British Army issue so why not,the G36 is used throughout Europe (at least 3 nations have it adopted as standard weapon, with SF using them too inc Brit SAS).

So there`s an element of real reasons as well as just cause i like the performance & look of them.

The Corner guns though are the true exception as these are still a relativley new weapon platform. It has a Lot of potential in CRW/CQB/FIBUA etc etc without putting squads at risk when fighting in buildings.
These are New & I know no one who`s made them 1/18th so Hell had to do these :D HAHAHA

So partial real reasons & just for customizing sake :D

The idea of keeping things simple though IS a Solid approach & something alas too many Goverments have forgotten in there attempts to modernize their Military capabilities.

I love the customs, excellent craftmanship, but it has got nothing to do with Action Force no more. I agree with Quickfire.

Well thank`s LJ for the kind words.

As for the weapons themselves, we each have our own perception on what weapons would be used.As said I use these weapons with my AF as these guys are Supposed Top of the Line troops,so the better weapons should be employed.

I`d rather have some More accurate & updated weapons used rather then say them still using WWII Sten gun & Thompson SMGs & the ever unfaithfull M60.
It opens up the field for missions & deployment purposes IMHO.

It`s my take on the weapons open to the Best there is.

The way I see it Action Force moves on and we can no longer buy new figures etc, which is why so many of us do conversions.

I reackon the introduction of new weopons is a fantastic idea.

I'ld never be able to do it as there is no way I would have the patience or skill, I'm only capable of smashing the figures up, painting them and gluing them togeather again.

I love the fact that someone is bringing AF into the 21st century, or even last quarter of the 20th.

Thank`s very much Alex.

I hadn`t realised my doing some accurate updated weapons was going to be so controversial.

As said only wanted to give my little guys some weapons that If they had carried on the line we MAY have seen. After all Palitoy gave us some weapons not even Hasbro have done like the HK Mp5,SLR (the one with Ripcord is more a US copy of the SLR) & some others.

We all have our own percieved images of the characters with the stories & bios`s & of course our imagination. I wouldn`t dream to knock anyone`s percieved view of Action Force,GI JOE,or any other 1/18th line.
They each hold something special for Us the Individual & Our own views.

I also understand that like many hobbies you have the Purist Collectors,The Purist customizers (only be original AF stuff) & then there is the Collector-Customizer who wants more that originally given by the manufacturers.

I`m sorry my doing some custom weapons have annoyed/offended but unless Steve say`s different I will continue to post weapons my AF guys do use.
