Yeah i think your right, i imagine as head of design he's the signatory on most of these.. this series 1 has a different QC form as well, the latter ones have seperate signature sections for each department.

Anyone know where these all came from as they are quite abundant
Very nice, very nice indeed.
Well, pre-Forum crash there was an individual who emerged c. 2010 with a lot of Wave 2 green stickered figures whose parent had worked at Palitoy and snaffled materials when the factory closed. No record of that thread remains (well, maybe one picture saved by Hopper). The substantial lot was sold to a small number of buyers (one American forum member landed many of the

figures) and many of the green stickered figures reappeared later via one ebay seller.
Some assert that the QC stickers are indeed abundant inc. the white ones for the final

wave
Your wave 1

still seems to be rather rare though ...

Heres another I own...not Action Force but a tri-logo Star Wars.
Unfortunately some clever sod tried to pull them off. Not sure pulling these off would have added any value to a Ree-Yees.

Presume this different shorter/smaller label, which is also a different green is an earlier type?
These are dated 1982 where as others are date 1984. Presume this smaller type sticker was used for the first wave only.
Heres a Ground Assault just sold on ebay (I got outbid!)
Would be a piece of piss to fake these!

Interesting stuff.
I think we should have another thread where we can upload all of the photos that we have of green stickered cards.
And try and get all the lost photos back
If someone wants to start, or I can when I get back tonight.

Hello Hopper me auld variant obsessed mate!!!
Not sure if you saw it on Facebook, but we were also trying to work out countries of manufacture, and blanking our on card backs the other week? Some nice examples coming up that were “made in macau” and I think we also came to the conclusion that all German ATT figures were made in Hong Kong. There are also some unusual ones out there where made in Hong Kong is physically crossed out on the cards and “made in England” manually over printed nearby on the card.
Not sure how this impacts on the now legendary Hopper Matrix’s (tm) but just thought I’d flag it (thanks Dark Omen for the heads up!!) in case you wanted to explore it more?
