Baron are you going to do a newsflash on this? this discovery is too good not to share it with people outside this forum!
Re: Dave's 1,000th post treat
Not sure, the Bombardier figure had real relevance to GI Joe. I think this is probably more of a BFTB community event.

Yeah, as cool as it is, in it's current state it's a little limited, but through it's construction, and through talking through with some ex-employees, I think this was a 'quick and dirty' model just to illustrate a concept for Q-Force vehicles.Golden Puma wrote:well done on the post count, can sort of see why this wasn't rushed into production. Not a bad concept though
Manta Force’s heritage is strongly linked to Action Force strangely enough. The Palitoy Head of Design worked on both.Sundance wrote:that's a cool looking sub.
i remember as a kid, at primary school, we watched a video about the making of the MANTA Force toys. http://www.mantaforce.co.uk/Collection/Manta.html
that started off life as a toy fort which would include everything you needed. then it mutated into the MANTA ship and then of course, they extended the range with stuff like the Red Venom and Stinkhorn etc...
funny how these things get changed...
It is very reminiscent of Roger Moore era bad guy vehicles ïŠSquad Leader wrote: kinda reminds me of something from a james bond film for some reason.

Hello Dave
Wow, another great find, thanks for sharing. Yet another milestone marking Palitoy's quirky ingeniousness.
So, is the rest of your schatzkammer being saved up for your 2000th post? At this rate Papa-Eisenblut will be paying you a visit to investigate further ...

I love seeing this kind of stuff.
I'm guessing this idea must have jumped through a few preliminary hoops to get from drawing to mock-up.
Thanks for posting these pics Dave.

Dave, I know you have heard this many times, but... have you decided your rank?
