I'm expecting Jaye's right and it will be the red triangle for the attack cannon. Now getting hazy memories of trying to get the thing to stay standing up with the platform elevated.
I think meertoh's right about the laser exterminator fitting too, and as a kid, completely unaware of the world of GI Joe, I wondered why they'd want to make it do that.
So what vehicle can tow a Whirlwind?

Almost 30 years later we are still discovering new things! Cool!

To answer your question on the Command Center, it was set up to house nearly all the vehicles from 82-83, at least the US version. I can't really say about the
one, as I don't have one and don't know if anything was changed on it. The mechanic's bay can hold the FLAK cannon, HAL, and MSS. Sad thing is that the FLAK cannon, can't be lifted without problems of being unstable, as the front spots are not part of the lift. The odd thing is that they didn't set it up to hold the Whirlwind, in the firing config
, but if you leave the wheels in the traveling config, it works, go figure right
.
To answer the towing question and not something someone else has said, wouldn't the
version of the Wolverine work? The one with Ton-Up as a driver (I think). If anything it would be the green version you guys got. It should have a tow hook, if it's like the US one.
Also some odd choices would be the Desert Fox, HAVOC, Mauler, Mean Dog, Persuader, Polar Battle Bear, Snow Cat, Triple T Tank, and Warthog, but the colors wouldn't match up for want you are looking for I would guess. All of those vehicles have tow hooks that I know of that was realease in your neck of the woods.
There really are more options for US release items though. The Slugger would be an ideal vehicle to use, as it's roll is artillery. Bridge Layer would also work as it's something you would see done in an engineering battalion. Much passed '85 US release stuff and the vehicles get odd looking in my opinion, but there are more that could work for towing. Hope that helps.

They all look a pretty good fit to me! Good photos.
And I know what you mean about dusty - you only ever notice it when you take photos dont you? I thought that with my Silent Attack in those shots of it with the aerials I made. Then this morning I moved some figures in the cabinet and it left great dusty "O"'s where their figure stands had been. So i moved them back again!

Brilliant! Thank you, Meertoh - I had no idea about that, the Whirlwind looks bad ass poking out the slit. With the Battletank housed in the other side that's beefed my CC up considerably.

Steve, can you mould a new batch of CC's, then? Man they look good.
