Is GI Joe Extreme any connection to GI-JOE universe? My impression is no but I seems to see some kind of crossover before.

No it's a different continuity but those idiots at DDP did include there characters on the cover of issue 25 and the Enemy Threat Matrix so they don't seem too bothered about mixing continuites up what I don't get is they had the cover as a competition to guess as many characters as possible but they had Budo twice as well as the EXtreme Joes who wouldn't be recognised by everybody Duh!!

perhaps a little there is!!! , originally they intended some more connections ( read the interviews ) , the connections lie soley with and is perhaps with Sgt Savage only , With him being in the series and his original cartoon Sgt Savage and the screaming eagles having Hawk Doc and Lady Jaye in it.

BUt extreme takes place in 2009 and so is in the future

actually there is not one member of GI JOE EXTREME that shows up on the cover other than Sgt Savage and that is only because of his SGT SAVAGE AND THE SCREAMING EAGLES subline that had the GI JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO LOGO on all the packages

the other characters are all from that line too. they all had the GI JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO LOGO on them and that is why they were listed and shown,

and Budo is actually not on it twice only once!!

Ok I will give you that one I just checked and the character is called Bushido but still DDP are incorporating cartoon characters into America's Elite when they should keep it to comics only characters like Larry Hama did in Marvel's run I mean what's next Cobra-La in main continuity?

I just uncovered the unpublished issue #6 cover that has never been seen before check the realm out for the cover!
