I'm an artist with a degree, and I'm more than impressed. Looking over his portfolio, I just have 1 criticism for him. Do more or less with your backgrounds. They either need something there to place the objects in a natural environment, OR a more abstract background to bring the focus back onto the object itself. The plain "counter" he has them on really doesn't do the pieces justice, and I find it distracting. But certainly some talent there.
