Welcome to the club, Ed ;-) I just got me a 40th this week. I also have some 40th boxes on the way for my 80's VAM.

Wotch that Dawson feller, he's a bad influence ;-) He said I had to buy the 40th chap. Mind you The rest of the guys around here don't help. But I resisted for a nanosecond :.

LOvely! He is one of my favs!

Eddie, the WW2 uniforms are now among the most expensive to get. They go betwen £50 - £80. If you are lucky you may get them cheaper. Not so much 40th about just noe either.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Yeah, I'd been watching some German uniforms but they're now over £50 with less than 24 hours to go, and that's just too rich for me, especially when there are plenty of other sets around that I wan't to get first which are a lot cheaper. I wonder at what point you would just be better of buying vintage especially when you see some 40th sets going for £100+.

Exactly TEM, as far as side hobbies go.... I said that too Eddie. ;-) This chap cost me $40au delivered from Sydney, about 25 pounds I think. Bargain and a half. I have a 40th Luftwaffe pants and top to replace my original worn and rotted ones. Its actually more well made than the original. the only reason I got this 40th chap is because I wanted just one.

I called by modelzone yesterday and they have a few left. Picked up my oven ready astronaut, and got talking to the guy in the shop. They have at least one or two left of most that were in the cabinets, so will post a pic later and if anyone wants me to call by for them I can. I figure I'll be calling back for the Aussie jungle fighter who caught my eye as I was leaving! ;-)
