Re: New Dalek design..(Possible) Spoiler alert
Yeah
I spotted the water bottle too, they were made to look more like old style tanks...the whole idea of W.W.2 Daleks just seemed to gel together & worked for me, I can see where the thinking was behind the "new" genetically pure Daleks design & use of colours comes from, but they just don't look as cool as the gold ones do to me.
That thing with them carrying trays of tea around made me
,very British..& seeing the Spitfires in space just confirmed to me where the inspiration for the Naboo fighters came from for The Phantom Menace, the space battle was a obvious rip off of that movie, not necessarily a bad thing in itself..but is it really Dr Who?

Re: New Dalek design..
I remember whist we were driving home from a day trip to Skegness, back in the early 80's & seeing some of them old red life size ride in Daleks sitting in a yard full of scrap amusement rides.
I wasn't very old @ the time, & with the the sun setting & the dusk drawing in, it was a very scary sight to behold.More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

I wish!!
No I just found this picture of one though Google, to illustrate the one I remembered as a kid..The makers name is Edwin too, don't know if that's just a coincidence, the doctor who claimed to have invented the Ironsides name was Edwin (its also my name).

Re: New Dalek design..
I loved the WWII Dalek but did wonder why he had webbing on.
Still undecided about the new look Daleks. Got no problems with the colours as I remember the old series had different colours, my main gripe is the front piece that houses the gun and plunger. It looks way too boxy and ill-thought out imo.

Re: New Dalek design..
I almost forgotten I'd got this games miniature Dalek..
It must be over ten or so years ago since I painted this pair, I think I was being a little more experimental with colour schemes @ that time, hence the blue & gun metal...but it's not far off the colours used on the new ones.
