Comic appearances

Post by The Baron »

Something I've been toying with for a while is to link each toy biography to the comics archives. For example, for the SAS Eagle toy archive I would put a little "Appears in the strips; Action Force / Jungle Ambush / Operation Bloodhound / etc."

What I need is to go through each and every comic archive on the site and jot down a list of which characters and vehicles appear in which strip. Obviously that's a lot of work so I'm asking you lot to do it.

;-)

So, next time you fancy flicking though one of the BFTB comics, please could you take a pen and paper with you and make a list of who appears in it? Then post the list in this thread.

I'll get the ball rolling:

BAF 001 Action Force
:enemy: Baron Ironblood
:enemy: Black Major
:enemy: Red Laser
:enemy: Red Vulture
:enemy: Red Shadow
:enemy: Muton
:enemy: Laser Exterminator
:enemy: Shadowtrak
:sas: Eagle
:sas: Quickfire
:zforce: Skip
:zforce: Breaker
:zforce: Tracker
:zforce: Steeler
:zforce: Battle Tank
:qforce: Leviathan
:qforce: Phones
:qforce: Shark
:qforce: Stingray
:qforce: Swordfish
:space: Sky Raider
:space: Hot Jets
:space: Cosmic Cruiser

It might be a nice idea to also make note of any BAF-created characters such as Haggis from Operation Claymore and Kelly from London in Peril for a potential site feature.

This is just an idea at the moment, so I'm completely open to any suggestions.

I'd thought of that too, but never mentioned it as it'd be a bitch to do (didn't want to incur any wrath). ;-)

As the colouring is being done it would at least make it easy for the artists to do as they go. Good idea, tho.

Speaking about the colouring project, would the additions of old charas in the coloured versions count? For example, "Assassins" counts as a :quarrel: or :scarlett: appearance?

No, I'd keep the two projects separate - this would be for the official appearances.

No no, I can arrange them later. The trouble with it is there's no point in adding the lists to the toy archive until we've got it completed. Otherwise it'll be like "Red Vulture appears in x, y, z oh and probably some other stuff too"

Also, once I have all the lists together, I then need to cross reference them by character. This is a long-term project, so no rush. If you happen to flick through one of the strips at some point, please take a note and add it here.

It might be easier to go through the volumes I bought from the store.
