Old figures, new paint job ....me like

Post by Shaunyboy »

I just received these from eBay and I wanted to show someone! All 1984 moulds but with alternate colour schemes. Scrap Iron and Firefly keep the same name, but the guy in green is Thunderwing, not Thunder.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I prefer them to the original Scrap Iron, Firefly or Thunder colours but there is something about these particular colour schemes that really appeals to me.

I think a new paint job on old figures is a good idea as long as the colours aren't too bright-also an updated file card makes a difference.Would love to see Action Force,Argen 7 & Red Shadows reissued on updated cards & colours :-D

Nice pics and love those moulds / colour schemes... Have all those myself - got to say my favourite Scrap Iron was the one that came with the 6 pack in black / red / gray.

The tag Comic Book Pack strikes me as a bit odd because the ones that look most like their comic ocunterpart are the original issues, aren't they?

in some cases they were pretty close to the comic book that came with the figures and some of them were brilliant. in other cases they were f***ing awful due to poor choice of body parts coupled with new sculpt heads...

were the comic books that came with them recent stories etc, I always thought they were reprints of some of the old marvel stories.

There were some original stories (written by Hama himself) in the 25th annivesary packs, along with more Marvel reprints.
