I like Cobra-La. Kill me, but it's true. Sometimes is fun to see a bit of Sci-Fi and/or misticism show its face (I hate Serpentor for totally different reasons), although not in an everyday basis. The thing that I dislike is Golobulus being the higher authority of :cobra: . Cobra-La shouldn't have a relation to :cobra: at all.
I mean, the potential of having this irreal menace would be having them being the "greater evil" that shows from time to time, forcing the good guys and the more realistic baddies to join forces against it (MOTU had the Evil Horde, Transformers had the dark god Unicron, etc). Check the Dio-Story "Battle of Cobra-La" I made last year or, for something closer to official, G.I.Joe/Transformers IV (though it's still non-canon, it and the previous three miniseries have their own canon)

Summarized: I like Cobra-La, but :cobracommander: should remain a human being unrelated to them.
:cobracommander: "You were engineered with such potential, Serpentor. But you lack the most important DNA of all... mine."

There's a bit of Folisanin and Aroxat in my organism. Do those drugs count? ;-)

i think he's on crack, personally. what i liked about GIJTM:

Falcon
Law and Order
Beach Head
Tunnel Rat
Jinx
Slaughter and his Renegades
"At ease, disease."

what i hated about GIJTM
Cobra-La
Serpentor's stupid-ass Cobra-Lalalalalalalalalala battle-cry
Cobra-La
Serpentor's stupid-ass 'this, I command' catchphrase (although I'd previously been exposed to it in Arise, Serpentor Arise)
Cobra-La
Turning Cobra Commander into a f*cking snake
Cobra-La
The piss-poor UK dubbing
Cobra-La

I'm with Sundance on this one. The new joes were cool (first generation NZ Joes) but the rest was a right off.

As fer Duke, I must confess I've not watched it that far.

i didn't think much of Chuckles cuz he didn't do much. Beach Head i'd already seen in A,SA but i liked him in GIJTM as he was good interacting with the new recruits, like Law and Order and Jinx. Law was funny with his relationship with the dog and with his 'Adios, adios, adios' line. Jinx was good because of her supposed bad luck and her 'make like an amoeba and split' line and her relationship with Falcon.
