I know the Avengers have had different leaderships, and I have even enjoyed the comics I've read where Black Widow leads the team even with Cap there, but in the case of an animated series, likely the roster and hierarchy will remain unchanged, and if I have to choose one Avengers leader, it's Cap. And even though I'd prefer Cap as the leader, I will watch the series. Avengers, assemble!
Besides, it could be worse for Cap; he could even not appear, as in the old animated series (well, he appeared, but only in episode 6) and his role in Super Hero Squad (technically, cute Avengers) was very minor.

On the other side, let's speculate about the villains! the trailer already showed us Kang, and Giant-Man was building Ultron (dumb move, Hank!). With those two, the series just needs to bring the Masters of Evil and the job will be done.

Ok, if we are gonna keep talking about the Peel Avengers, then I'll add a piece of trivia: The Avengers name isn't the only thing that the series and Marvel "shared": the TV series also included some villains named the Hellfire Club, which inspired Chris Claremont to create the villains with that same name in X-Men (I haven't seen the British series, I discovered that reading the wiki article on Marvel's Hellfire Club)

Ok here we go there has been TV series called The Champions, The Defenders ,The Avengers and New Avengers is it just coincidence that Marvel had titles with these same names?
