Re: Geoff Campion - Legendary Battle Action Force Artist
Without doubt a legend.. doubt anybody else could of done such a grand job on Bloodhound ..workd on Eagle ,Panzer G Man Fighte rFrom the Sky Coolies Gun and hundreads of other stories like Mike Western dearly missed .. I alway prefer old school comic art simply because it's drawn correctly and it is well researched ..style is secondary and natural.

Re: Geoff Campion - Legendary Battle Action Force Artist
if you can send me a scan on a very high resolution I can do that for you. What it requires is sampling one of the colours (eg green), then use the darkening tool over the whole picture, then using the remove colour cast to make the green white, then remove colour, then alter the levels. That should, in theory, give you a final image where the red is black and the rest white. As there might be a slight bit of quality loss the scan needs to be hi res so after it's finished it can be scaled downThe Baron wrote:Brilliant!
I so badly want this page without the 3D rendering...

Here's a quick version of the steps outlined above. A beter result would come from a better scan and taking more time tinkering with each step, but this gives you a rough idea...

This is an entirely different method - this time using the hue/saturation menu, selecting red only then adjusting the lightness. This makes the red pixels lighter, but the green unchanged.
I'm not sure whether the art can be truly brought back to full quality (as evidenced by the writing), but for the colouring project it should be possible to make it look good.

Yeah, that's about as legible as my attempts. I'll have to rescan it.

Tales of the Golden Monkey? Awesome. It was about as obscure as BJ and the Bear
Great artwork too, I love his work.
