Eureka! I think fingers crossed

Post by humby248 »

I finally think I may have mixed the Z force green. Humbrol 131 that Kraken uses is pretty good for the Captains green although a tad bright, easily solved with a very small amount of dark green mixed in. The one that has eluded me so far is the Infantryman/Wheels etc green.
So with a syringe into a small glass jar I mixed 2mls of Humbrol 131 and 1mls of Humbrol 225. Initial inspection looks very good. I will post a pic as soon as I have painted a figure. The last part of the experiment will be how it drys.

Sorry Kraken, I just thought that I should give a credit to you for finding the Humbrol 131 in the first place. Cheers mate.

First paint on a torso looked really good but dried a bit dark so will have to lighten the mix a little. It looks spot on in the bottle but definetley not when dry.

Good match for the Commander green but not sharp enough for the brighter Z force green eg :skip: So will have to try another mix.
