Pete Postlethwaite is a famous face - he was the priest in Baz Luhrman's Romeo & Juliet, also the safari hunter in Jurassic Park 2, to name but two among many. I saw him doing Hamlet about 10 years ago, he was outstanding.

Alexa Davalos was ElectroGirl in Angel... Polly Walker was Atia in Rome.

He was also the odious Sargent Hakeswill in Sharpe Baron a role he played brilliantly.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

i assumed everyone knew the Almighty Postlethwaite and he needed no intro.

i cited Alexa's role in CoR as i figured people were more likely to have seen her in that than as Gwen Raiden in Angel

(and yes, that's Raiden as in the MK god of thunder and lightning before you ask)

anyone else i didn't cite except the Mighty Neeson and the Mighty Fiennes was because i didn't know why the devil they were

The Ridicules of Chronic is godawful and should therefore never be mentioned again.

Postlethwaite was also in Jurassic Park 2.

I think it was just an fun easter egg, putting the pod from 2001 in the scrap yard of episode 1..it's much better hidden then the E.T.'s apperence!
I've yet to spot the police spinner, from Blade Runner, that's in one of the background scenes yet!
Then again I still haven't spotted the Falcon, thats in a background scene of Blade Runner yet..isn't it supposed to be on top of a sky scraper or something?
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Is Harihausen involved? Wasn't the original his baby? I can't help but feel this could go the way of Planet of the apes and the day the earth stood still. The original was a masterpiece and to be half as good the remake has to be more than that. Which it can't be as the originals changed the face of cinema.

Good luck. But I'm sceptical. Also a Harihausen fan and have heaps of his movies. Just great stories.
