dont know if this has been posted before of if anyone already knows about it,
it was developed for retro computer collectors but it should work on other things like yellowing vehicle parts
also this has to be a dream for vintage star wars collectors since there is loads of figures that yellow easly, luke stormtrooper has to be one of the worse ones for it

Thanks for that mate. I have a few bits of my Star Wars vintage collection that I could try this on. Luckily its only a couple of bits as I seem to have kept the bulk of it yellowing free. Purely luck on my part.

didn't neils say that using Hydrogen Peroxide on figures/vehicles was a bad move as it'd eat the plastic?

I know from experience it hardly, if not at all, eats the plastic. There is a site where toys are being bleached with hydrogen peroxide. It is one of the safest options in town.

What do you prefer: a yellow Storm Shadow that is too disgusting to display or having a cripsy white one you can enjoy?

Who gives a f*ck it falls apart after fifteen years, it was worthless yellow sh*t to start with.

Does anyone run a service for this treatment?

It'd would be nice to be able to send something in to be professionally treated in such a way, as I don't think I could be trusted to use "dangerous substancies" myself!

Is this the same peroxide stuff my mum used to use in her hairdressing days?
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

So you can prosecute when you don't like the results? ;)

It doesn't work that way. If I was to treat parts for you I would not give you any type of guarantee. Results may vary. This is an experimental treatment. Just experiment yourself using less crucial parts to figure out what works best.

Exactly!

Hydrogenperoxide bleaches out the yellowing. It hardly eats the paint, coloured parts might get a little duller when submerger longer periods. Again, experiment!

And I found the original postings I was referring to:

As a man who started out with a minty White stormshadow and is slowly getting him more and more grubby, I feel I should reserve judgement on this one!!!
Having said that - I am going to give it a whirl I think! As jaye says - do it on something crappy first, see how it goes? If it works I'll gladly do other peoples, as ling as they don't sue me if they melt! (in fact f*ck it - sue me - it'll keep some of my mates in litigation dept in jobs!!)
