Still hunting for Z force figure green

Post by humby248 »

I recently recieved Game goblin green which I found slightly brighter then the Z force captain green. I have tried Humbrol 131 but found that too bright as well. I am still trying to mix the humbrol one to get it right. I think Wheeljacko got it as close as poss with the vehicle one but Z force figure green is definetley more troublesome. Add to that the fact that the Captain is brighter then the other Z force figures!
I have found that Satin varnish is definetley the best and most realistic finish as Matt is too dull and gloss too shiny. I like to varnish them well to protect as I like to create some customs for my son to play with.

I used dark angel green for my germans, its a bit too light but still too dark for Z force.

Maybe lighten some of it with Skull White?

I think I am going to carry on trying with the enamels because of them being harder wearing. I just need to get a decent mixer/stirrer and then measure out the amount with a syringe and keep trying until I get it right. If I do find it I will post the details.

:zforce: green has been the bane of Action Force customisers for many years.

Thread moved to FAQs, WIPS and Tips.

It really doesn't help that there is more than 1 Z force green, sometimes on the same figure!
Argh the spiders, the spiders get them off!

Thats what ive always thought, were searching for a Z force green but if I compare all my Z Force stuff there are slight to quite large variations among it all - some are v different even among the same figure - two Quarrels I have for example...

I think im going to stick with the one im using...
