Its weird on another forum I was talking to some guys who all remember Warhammer 40k and Blood Bowl, I even got offered a game from someone who like me hasn't played it since aged about 14. Weird how the same stuff seems to get discussed on very different forums.

I have several armies for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer I haven't played both in years. Games Workshop was founded by Steve Jackson and I an Livingstone the co-creators of Fighting Fantasy they used the creatures of Lord of the Rings renaming some and colouring Orks and Goblins green as brown was seen as being rascist(?) and the map of Middle Earth for Warhammer.

these days there isn't much fantasy that doesn't rip off LOTR to some extent.

I've never read it myself, but Warhammer 40k "borrows" a lot of ideas from the original Starship Troopers novel..or so I've been told, thinking about it, so does Halo!

i have never been involved in any of those sorts of games it was and still is not my cup of tea, i know my brother in law is a warhammer fan and meets up with his chums to play, my sister mocks him for it. i on the other hand have no idea what the hell it is, what you do, how it works nothing.
