OK, I'm secretly working on some new Datafiles. Nearly finished actually, I need Bio's for Skeletron, Major Flagg (aka Green Major) and Snake Eyes. The Snake Eyes bio, I'd like to be from the MAF era but be in the style of BAF. I.e short bio. Maybe even leave him as GI Joe as a tie in between MAF/BAF/GI Joe?
My thoughts on Skeletron is that is an unarmoured MUTON. And a worthless piece of cannon fodder. Maybe even the MUTON's that never passed QA?
Don't like the Muton idea, they've only ever been referred to as robotos, not cyborgs. I prefer the idea of them being reanimated zombies of fallen Shads (and AF?).
Also, I'd push for the BAF/AF-era Snake Eyes file, he did appear in two strips.
Hmmm... Major Flagg, we could be cheeky and say that the USS Flagg was named in his honour!! I think he needs a distinguished but hush-hush military career. Ex-SAS?
Skeletron doesn't look like a proper body to me, he looks more robot like.
Mjr Flagg could be the Generals older (and more experienced) cousin I'd wager he was in Z force and climbed the ranks, maybe Skip took over from him? There are Generals etc referred to in BAF but I'd reckon Flagg is the front line guy, he's between AF and the brass and deals all the shots. The Generals etc don't usually interact with the troops directly and MAYBE Flagg is the head honcho of ground Zero too?
Snake Eye's could be a valuable tie in I think. Give me a minute to sort something out there.
Invulnerable to small-arms fire, the mk I Skeletron death robot is a simple killing machine. Unlike the mk II Muton, the Skeletron can only be given three tasks; sentry duty, all-out attack and standing guard. The Skeltron is vulnerable to large calibre weapons, such as tank shells or anti-tank rockets. They're also vulnerable to anti-personnel mines.
Major Flagg
File name: Francis Munro-Deighton
PMS: Aide-de-camp
SMS: Strategic planning
Major Flagg is the aide of The Commander, Action Force's CO. While The Commander deals with the big picture of running a multi-national counter-terror unit, Flagg deals with the details, assigning repair details to fixing tanks, rearming Triads or even making sure the catering squad has enough food for the mess hall. Flagg's not a line officer, having spent his career prior to Action Force in Whitehall, but he can set up a logistics train and coordinate a mutli-national operation better than anyone.
No-one really knows who Snake-Eyes is. No-one even knows why he doesn't speak. Some rumours suggest a horrific helicopter crash ruined his vocal cords. Other claim he was injured by a sniper. Wilder stories suggest a vow of silence after the death of his ninja master. All we know is, he lets his actions speak for him. Rumoured to be a US 'green beret', Snake Eyes is among the best and proves it on every op he goes on.
i planned on putting it into the dialogue in my GI Joe ROC comic i've been plotting. Eagle and Quickfire were supposed to have a conversation about Snakes and how mysterious he is. it was my way of hom... nodding back to the Hama Marvel comics and Resolute.
Some great idea's there. I like the Skeletron MkI idea, Sundance, really good. I also think that the Commander is AF, not Z. He may have started out that way but I think it would be cool to have the Major as a AF Major as Skip is the Z boss.
Snake Eye's I'd like to rip extracts from all his previous Joe bios but nothing that would conflict with AF and nothing wankey, if you get my drift? Good one so far tho, Sundance.
