Palitoy body part broken peg fix tip

Post by humby248 »

I don't know if anyone has done this before but here goes anyway. I have a few body parts with broken pegs and one of those was a Commander with a snapped head. So I decided to see if I could come up with a decent fix that would hold firmly but still allow movement.
So I took an ordinary pin and with snips cut a small piece. I then held the piece with pliers and forced it half way in to section where the peg had snapped off. I then took it out again and forced it half way into the peg.
Whilst holding it I placed some super glue gel around the section to be joined and held it in place until the glue had set. Then rebuit the figure as normal.
Thanks to Andy and the piece of pin I now have a Series 1 commander with a tan hat! I am glad this has worked as I would hate to bin anything Palitoy.

Looks good Humby. I just cut the neck flat then drill a hole and install a small screw. Works every time and you can adjust the tension too.
