Then we can all sign a petition to Leicester city council,asking for lottery funding to hold it in the citys museum!

Hmmm, I went to a Star Wars gig once where each stand represented a different planet from the films, and attendees could get their freebie Interplanetary Passports stamped at each one.... Maybe we could have a similar stampable document? Not necessarily a Passport, though.

Maybe something like a "authorized personnel access card", and each stand representing some type of base area (weaponry, vehicles, computers, etc)

Well, it could be both: the swapmeet as a private thing among friends, and the convention to attract new fandom.
