Sub-teams

Do many of you collect the sub-teams in gi joe. I usually start by getting one figure and then have to collect the whole set. So far i have all the figures for Sky Patrol, Brazil special missions, the ordinary and euro Tiger Force (some Brazilian), all 89 Python Patrol plus Gatilho + Relampago. Also some Dreadnoks, Steel Brigade, Iron Grenadiers and Oktober Guard. I also find myself now looking for the vehicles. Do many of you find yourselves doing the same.

I have most of the Dreadnoks and want to get the Oktober Guard and Slaughter's Renegades. I did start getting the old Cobra High Command from a specific point in time then branched out.

i've got Tiger Force Duke, Battle Corps Roadblock, Wet Suit and Big Bear and Flak-Viper. that's it.

I cannot tell a lie... I am exactly the same with my collection. I'm a complete sucker for sub teams!!! I'm doing all the stuff it looks like you have already done. Sky Patrol, Tiger Force etc I wouldn't put myself down as a completest, but if I get one or two of a sub team I'm not happy 'till I have the lot!!

I'm not bothered about Battle Corps I got Deep Six and Gung-Ho at the time the original figures weren't great or Gung-Ho was in marine ceremonial uniform which was ok but not how I wanted him. To me it was a way of getting previously unreleased figures in the UK or updated versions not a real sub team like Ninja Force.

Am opting out of Tiger Force (something to do with the stripes) but I'm collecting the Drednoks though- always my favorite as a kid.

Got my MOC 25th Ann Buzzer (getting hard to find - managed to get 3 though - one to keep, 2 to sell) the other day.
The others shouldn't be a much of a problem.

i'm exactly the same, i'm in the middle of collecting the tiger force set and then it'll be on to night force after that.

I forgot to say I also have all 88-89 Night Force figures and only need the Night Ray to complete the set.

I hope this not sound too snobbish, but I mainly collect those subgroups with a sort of plot significance (Dreadnoks, Iron Grenadiers) and when it's about assembling a team during a game, I just use any version I have of a character once released on that subteam (e.g. if I want to use Python Patrol, I have my normal-colored leading them). I also put ALL Joe or ninjas in their respective Ninja Forces, even those not released as such (Marvel did that with Jinx and DiC with :snakeeyes: v4 and Night Creeper Leader).
