Helmet hollowing advice wanted!
looking to hollow out an S.A.S pilot helmet and would realy appreciate any tips from former hollowers

Same here, have a couple of figure head/helmets I would love to do that to as well.

This is not an easy task !
I would probably advise you to avoid trying.
In order to fit a Palitoy head the helmet would end up too thin, also the plastic used for Palitoy heads is very rubbery and not easy to work with ( especially when it becomes thin)
If you do try be careful not to dremmel for too long, the helmet will melt !! ( it doesnt take much heat to totally ruin it)
I have tried before with no success, hopefully someone else can prove me wrong ?
I think Paul did an SAS one, but it was for display purposes only, It looked great in the figures hand but I dont think he managed to make it fit the head.

i would agree with andy, palitoy plastic is too soft!
will try ritdyeing some palitoy parts soon, but im not holding up much hope!

ive managed to hollow out a red laser helmet and it turned out pretty well, I just dremelled away v v carefully...

yeah, hasbro figs are easier, still slow work tho!

Looks like my best bet would be to just make a mold of the head, and then cast hollow copies...
