G.I.JOE at POUNDSTRETCHER

Post by Galacticmonkey »

Hi,
Don't know if this is of any interest to anybody but i've just been into poundstretchers in Leicester to see if i could check out some of these AF size vehicles that you guys recommend for customs.
No luck, however to my suprise they do have in stock plenty of the following Gi joe ones.
CONQUEST X-30 for ?8.00 (brought 2)
Cobra HissIV on sale at ?4.00 (brought 2)
Sand Razor on sale at ?4.00 (brought 2 as thought could be cheaper than buying awe strikers to convert for Z-force.
They also had a Piranha patrol boat with shipwreck that could be could for SAS conversions at ?5.00 and quite a few assault quads at 4-5 pounds.
I don't know if these items are at all stores or just at larger ones but i'm going to check my local (smaller) town store tommorow.
Ironic really i can remember real vintage AF on sale cheap in poundstretchers when the line was canceled whish i'd brought 2 of everything then.
Oh well you live and learn (lol)

And Taunton. We also had a load of the Lego-like Built To Rule GI Joe hovercraft kits. Didn't get any of them though

Just a thought, all Poundstretchers round our way have gone, to be replaced by In Stores, any idea if this is the same brand as our nearest aint got no GI Joe and wether it would be worth going further afield.

Cheers.

Always worth looking in Poundstretcher type shops for BTR, GI Joe or even Transformers (sorry).

I have found many bargains over the years.

Just keep looking and you shall find.
