Carlos Huante who was the Animation designer for GI JOE Extreme has graciously given Ben Torres ( who in return graciously allowed me to post them ) some of his rough pencils from 15 years ago
Noticed some things about these
1. Maydays both looks/ uniforms designs ( Comic and TV show ) is present in these early sketches which clarifies the question if that was a early design used in the Dark Horse comics and something they just came up with or if it was indeed an early design by Hasbro, which it now turns out to be ! Personally I like both but maybe the Comic / Pocket on the breast look, slightly better
2. Iron Klaw has two different looks
3. DYNAMITE ?!?!?!? why is he on a GI JOE EXTREME Sketch ?? was thier plans to include some of the screaming eagles in GI JOE EXTREME at one point ? or did Carlos Huante also work on GI JOE EXTREME ? ( will try to confirm that )
