I have 2 of these Helmets amongst my AF collection, I always thought it belonged to the U.S. Paratrooper, (a figure I don't have), but most of the AF range had molded helmets (and removable caps). none of the catalogues or card backs show this accesory.

any ideas?

p/s love the travelling Muton.......... :stake:

It looks alot like the Sgt. Savage helmet. He was a sub-category of G.I. Joe in the U.S. There's more info. on him at yojoe.com... :)

IT WAS AT THAT POINT THAT PRIVATE JENSEN UNDERSTOOD WHY THEY NEEDED A SECRET CODE-WORD BEFORE OPENING THE FRONT DOOR...

I know what its from....Its a helmet for those ACTION JACK figures...its either from the ACTION JACK COMMANDO, S.A.S. COMMANDO, RADAR CHECKER, BOMB DISPOSAL....I should know I've still got loads of em....

Anyone else recall these cheapo figures? Came in little photo boxes with gear that didn't match the colours on the pic or on blister cards?

As a bit of trivia, ACTION JACKS were made from the old molds of the LESNEY/MATCHBOX M.A.C-MOBILE ACTION COMMAND series, except they changed the molds slightly, MAC MEN were far more durable, solid and made without a 'V' neck collar, had painted black hands and their feet moved at the ankles (made of solid black plastic as opposed to painted)....and they weren't so easy to pull appart....

Hope that helped! :baron:

now that you come to mention "Action Jacks", didn't the MAC team have a mountain base?
have you got any images/links you can show us?

(If not I may have a dig around my attic and try to post some pics of what I believe to be action jacks)

Sorry, no I dont have pics of the MAC base....only have 6 MAC men with equipment I won M.O.C. off ebay and a shedload of Action Jacks won off ebay....

2 are still mint in boxes! :levi2:

To refresh your memories:

the action jacks were:

SECURITY POLICE,
EMERGENCY FIREMAN,
COMMANDO,
EMERGENCY DOCTOR,
SKI PATROL,
SEA RESCUE/AQUA TROOPER,

we then got 'Military Action Jack':
COMMANDO,
RADAR CHECKER,
SKI PATROL,
S.A.S. COMMANDO,
S.A.S. DIVER,
MILITARY POLICE,
ARMY MEDIC,

the rarest ones were the Wild West/Civil War ones:

UNION INFANTRY,
CONFEDERATE INFANTRY,
COWBOY,
MEXICAN (BANDIT),
INDIAN BRAVE,
INDIAN CHIEF, these last two had different head molds with longer hair and brown bodies and faces....

Cool toys....ebay has them every so often..... :stake:

here is one of a handful of figures I have, I believe this is an action jack?
this particular figure came with a mountain base playset (hiding somewhere in my parents loft)
