Post by steve »

This is the current state of play with my CG project.
The Cosmic Cruiser is done 8) , but needs to have a texture applied and the corners smoothed

The next thing on the list is a CGI model of the Space Station from the minicomic. :P

 Love your 2d Sprites (wow what an old fashioned term, showing my age there!)

The Cosmic Cruiser (as seen here) was about 5-6 hours work), earlier aborted and simpler versions probably worked out to about another 10-12 hours.

The real pain was getting the side angled correctly in three dimensions. I also made things difficult for myself deliberately by making the ship in the same sections as the toy, this way I can do a Shadowtrack sometime in the future using the basic lower hull.

Ive had a go at the station this morning, unfortuantley the images in issues 1 + 5 of the mini comic are all quite different, so this in amalgam of the best bits of all of them. I still need to add the curved section to the top of the hull between each arm.
